Brussels: ETUCE Higher Education and Research Standing Committee stands in solidarity with Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça

At its meeting of 11-12 September 2017, the ETUCE Standing Committee for Higher Education and Research (HERSC) issued a support letter to Eğitim Sen’s members, Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça.

Expressing the great concern about their critical health condition, HERSC members strongly supported their colleagues’ action aiming at reinstating all education personnel dismissed, suspended or imprisoned without ground of evidence in their duties.

HERSC members wished Nuriye Gülmen and Semih Özakça the best of success for the court hearings of today, 14 September 2017, in Ankara.

The support letter was endorsed by the ETUCE Bureau yesterday, 13 September 2017.
