ETUCE represents staff and personnel of all education sectors, such as teachers of the early childhood education schools/institutions, primary and secondary schools, vocational education and training schools, higher education and research institutes, adult learning institutes and beyond. As the European trade union federation of teachers, researchers and educational staff, ETUCE promotes and defends the rights and status of the teaching profession.

In line with the work on teachers' need, ETUCE has been advocating in particular of the importance of improving trainers working conditions and initial and continuous professional training.

 

Membership

ETUCE had active participation in the Open Method of Cooperation Working Group of the European Commission, which dealt with professional development of trainers in vocational education and training (VET) (2012-2014). The result of the work was a policy handbook on Guiding principles on professional development of trainers in vocational education and training.

Events
