On 15 and 16 January 2015 ETUCE together with EPSU, AK and ÖGB are organizing a training seminar on how to challenge the liberalisation of public services in TTIP, CETA and TiSA.The event is taking place in the premises of ÖGB in Vienna and has gathered 100 trade union representatives from 25 different countries in order to discuss the pitfalls of and common responsive strategies to the free trade agreements that the EU is currently in the process of negotiating.

The European Commission published the long anticipated report on the public consultation on investment and ISDS in TTIP on 13 January 2015. The report presents an analysis of the almost 150.000 submissions received to its public consultation.

More than 100  trade unionists from public sector unions from over 25 European countries will gather in Vienna to discuss TTIP, CETA and TISA in Vienna on 15-16 January 2015.

On 15 December 2014, ETUCE backed up its Ukrainian member organisation STESU in its protest to the government about foreseen amendments to laws and regulations which have could have turned into a wide reaching threat to the entire Ukrainian education system.

On 10th January 2015, all 6 Teacher Unions in Cyprus representing the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot Communities signed a historic agreement about cooperation. The agreement comes after several attempts have been made during the last 14 years.

The decision of the European Ombudsman on her own-initiative concerning transparency in TTIP was published on 7 January 2015. The message is clear: the European Commission needs to increase the transparency of the TTIP negotiations.
